Lumatek Electronic Ballasts Lumatek Electronic Ballasts provide more lumens, fast start-up, are dimmable, run on 110 or 220 volts, and will power HPS and MH lamps. Super Lumens - Up to 10% overdrive at the flip of a switch. Dimmable - Ballast can be dimmed up to 50%. The new multi-watt Lumateks allow you to use different wattage bulbs in the same ballast. Lumatek digital ballasts have fast start-up and they reach full brightness quickly. Electronic ballasts are completely silent and produce less heat. The cut-off circuitry - cut off when a short is detected. For ultimate safety. Lumatek ballasts can light both HPS and MH bulbs. Will run on 240v with 240 Volt Smart Volt Powercord (order seperate). The Lumatek is programmed for a 'soft-start' and does not require an initial surge of power to light the lamp. This increases the lamp life and allows the end user to start multiple ballasts at the same time without tripping breakers. To ensure safe operation, the Lumatek is programmed to automatically shut off in case of a short in wiring or a faulty or missing lamp. Lumatek digital ballasts do not degrade and maintain their lumen output and efficiency over the life of the unit. Light meter readings indicate that the Lumatek ballast is up to 27% brighter than common core and coil magnetic ballasts. The Lumatek is 10-15% brighter than other brands of digital ballast on the market. Warranty Information Lumatek offers the best warranty in the industry - 3 year replacement and 2 year pro-rated. Lumatek will replace any defective units with brand new units for 3 years from the date of purchase. All Lumatek ballasts come wired with our standard female lamp cord receptacle that accepts Sun System reflectors, making these units compatible with all Sun System reflectors. Purchase lamp cord with socket assembly separately. Note: If you are using a HydroFarm reflector or the HydroFarm "All System Cord Set", you will need the "BAASP" adapter at bottom of this page.
